Ever look around your home and all you see are picture frames on the walls? Whether its for hanging art, posters, or personal pictures, putting them all in frames over and over again can get a little old, repetitive, and boring. There are so many fun and creative ways to hang photos nowadays without using frames. I have used many of these in my home over the past few years, because one, I get sick of buying frames, and two, I get sick of hanging frames up and making sure they're level and all that. If you feel the same way, try one (or more) of these 10 creative and fun ways to hang photos in your home without putting them in a frame.

1. Pant Hangers

One of my favorite ways to hang photos that I discovered about a year ago is to put them in pant hangers, then hang the hanger on the wall. It's a totally unexpected decor piece that will look great and innovative in your home. I especially love the look of this with some vintage photographs. For some reason, they just go together so well.

2. String and Clothes Pins

A fun way to make a large art display in your home is to hang up some string on a wall, then place some photos on them with some clothes pins. I have been doing this for a while in my home, and I love it because it creates a fun place where people can look at multiple photos at once. Also, it's really easy to change the photos out since all you have to do is unclip them, then clip some new ones on. It creates a place for you to constantly change the look on your wall.

3. Geometric Photo Display

I absolutely love this photo display. I've never seen anything like this before. It's so creative and interesting to look at. All you need are some nails, string, and some clips to hang the photos with. It may take some more thought and effort as opposed to just throwing the string up on the wall, but the result sure is worth it!

4. Hanging On Strings In A Frame

If simply hanging your photos from a string on the wall seems too "unfinished" for you, try suspending the string from a frame, then clip the photos to the string. This creates more of a traditional look that might appeal more to you, but it's still an interesting way to hang photos. Even though it uses a frame, it's still not the typical photo in a frame.

5. Washi Tape

My husband makes fun of me sometimes because I hang a lot of different things in our home using washi tape. I hang photos with it, printables, and I even create decals on my walls using the tape. You can create fake frames around the picture with it, or simply take a few pieces and put them at the top and the bottom. Either way, it'll look great and only take a few seconds to hang up some of your favorite photos.

6. Clipboards

If you feel like you still need some sort of "frame" or background for your photos, try putting them on clipboards. This will make it look like your photos have a frame or background so they're more grounded on your wall. Plus, you can easily change the photos out, so you can switch up the look often.

7. Binder Clips

A completely unconventional and interesting way to hang photos on your wall is with binder clips. Who needs a frame when you can put your pictures up like this? This idea especially looks great as a gallery wall. Just nail up some binder clips on your wall, then clip your photos in, and you're good to go.

9. Hanging From String Lights

I love that string lights are being used in home decor now a days, and not just for holidays. They just create a special mood in your home that makes your home feel special. Just like you can hang photos from string, you can hang photos from string lights, as well! Just clip them on with some clothes pins and you've got yourself a creative and beautiful photo display.

10. DIY Poster Frame

I love, love, love the look of poster frames, but if you don't have a photo that's big enough to put in a poster frame, then you can't use one. Well, not anymore! You can make your own poster frame with some wood slats, magnetic tape, and string. I'll probably be making one of these soon for my home. I just love how simple and modern it looks.
